What is included in the Digital Plan Package?

The Digital Plan Package includes the standard architectural drawing set for the selected house design. The exact drawings included are shown on each plan product page. Review the drawing previews, package inclusions and exclusions before purchasing.

What is included in the Site Specific Professionally Certified Plan Package?

This package includes the selected house plan, site specific adjustments based on the property information supplied by the client, preparation of the required architectural drawing set, and professional review and certification by appropriately registered architectural professionals within the stated package scope.

What is the difference between the two plan packages?

The Digital Plan Package provides the standard architectural drawing set for your selected house design. The Site Specific Professionally Certified Plan Package includes site specific adjustments based on the property information you supply, together with professional review and certification within the stated scope.

Who is the Site Specific Professionally Certified Plan Package for?

This option is intended for clients who want their selected house design adjusted to their specific property and professionally certified before they proceed with municipal submission.

Who submits the plans to the municipality?

The client is responsible for submitting the completed drawings to the relevant municipality. Municipal submission by Your House Plans is not included unless separately agreed.

Does professional certification guarantee municipal approval?

No. Professional certification does not guarantee municipal approval. The relevant municipality assesses the submission against the requirements that apply to your property and proposed building. Additional information, specialist input or amendments may be required.

Municipal submission and application fees are excluded from our packages.

Are municipal fees included?

No. Municipal submission fees and other statutory application fees are paid separately by the client.

How do I provide my property information?

After purchasing a Site Specific Professionally Certified Plan Package, you will be asked to complete our Site Information Form and upload the required property documents. Email submission will also be available if required.

What property documents may be required?

Depending on the project, we may request your property address, erf number, SG diagram, title deed, zoning information, estate guidelines, site survey information and other relevant property documentation.

Can I make changes to the house design?

Reasonable site related adjustments may be made as part of the Site Specific Professionally Certified Plan Package. Substantial changes to the selected design may require an additional quotation.

If you have specific changes in mind, contact us before purchasing so that we can clarify the scope.

Are engineering services included?

No. Structural, civil and other engineering services are excluded unless specifically stated. Where specialist input is required, this will be communicated separately.

Are land surveying or town planning services included?

No. Land surveying, rezoning, consent use, building line relaxation and other town planning services are not included unless separately quoted.

How will I receive my Digital Plan Package?

Digital Plan Packages are delivered electronically after successful payment. You will receive access to the purchased drawing files digitally.

How will I receive my professionally certified drawings?

Once the required site information has been received, the drawings will be adjusted and professionally reviewed. The completed certified drawing package will then be delivered electronically.

How long does the certified package take?

The timeframe depends on the completeness of the site information, the complexity of the property and the extent of the adjustments required. A more specific timeframe will be confirmed once the required information has been reviewed.

Can I use the same house plan on more than one property?

The plan may only be used in accordance with the Plan Licence supplied with the purchase. Additional use may require another licence or purchase. Contact us before using the plan on another property.

Can I get a refund?

Please review our Refund Policy before purchasing. Refund requests are assessed according to that policy and applicable South African consumer law. When requesting a refund, please tell us whether your digital files have been delivered or any site specific work has commenced.
